Fabio Capello was appointed as the manager of England in December of 2007 until resigning in 2012. The Italian tactician has experience being in charge of top clubs around the world and he has always been known as an outspoken character that is not afraid to voice his opinion.
The 67 years old manager revealed his point of view regarding England and their chances of winning the 2014 World Cup.
England has not been able to lift the prestigious silverware since 1966 and despite having players with the caliber such as: Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard, Daniel Sturridge and Danny Welbeck it’s not enough for them to compete against other nations.
Roy Hodgson and his players were pitted in a tough group as they have to lock horns with Italy, Uruguay and Costa Rica. Italy is expected to finish the group stages at the top but the 2nd qualifying place will be tightly contested between the remaining nations – England are being tipped by the guys who run belgique algerie cote to finish second.
Capello stated a few comments on why he believes that England has been struggling so much recently as well as revealing which squad is his favorite.
“It’s really important which physical condition the teams arrive at the World Cup. England is always tired because they play too many games.”
“Brazil is my favorite team because I saw the games they played in the Confederations Cup,” said the former Juventus and Real Madrid boss. They improved a lot game after game and they are really strong. The quality is not the top like normal Brazilian players, but they are compact and they are really physically strong’’. Capello said.
Capello is now in charge of Russia and the Italian manager is hoping he will be able to guide them past the group stages of the 2014 World Cup as they placed in a group along with Belgium, Algeria and South Korea.
