GUARDIOLA TARGETING GREALISH AND KANE THIS SUMMER

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has continued to express his desire to sign Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish and will reportedly try to sign the England international star when the summer transfer window opens for business in a few days. Grealish is already one of the most sought-after Premier League players and has been under the radar of a couple of clubs in the past, including Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal.

Manchester United were seriously interested in signing the boyhood Aston Villa fan at the end of last season but after the Villa Park club took their stance that they would not be selling their star player for anything less than £100 million, the Red Devils had to look elsewhere for cheaper alternatives. Their refusal to pay such a huge sum for Grealish directed them to the signing of Bruno Fernandes from Portuguese league side Sporting Lisbon, and they paid a sum of around £65 million for the Portuguese international midfield star.

The signing of Fernandes signaled an end to United’s interest in Grealish but according to reports, the midfield star could still be heading to Manchester this summer. Guardiola is a huge fan of Grealish and is interested in signing him and his fellow international teammate, Harry Kane in what would be a really successful transfer window for the Cityzens.

Kane has expressed his desire to leave Spurs this summer but Tottenham owner Daniel Levy could ask for up to £150 million to part ways with the forward. Grealish, 25, and Kane, 28, are both expected to cost a combined huge sum of money and City may have to sell one or two players so they can balance their books and not have any issues with Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules in the process.
